Zusammenfassung

UNIVERSIDAD POLITÉCNICA DE MADRID is seeking a part-time researcher (20 h/week) for a project on sputter growth of piezoelectric thin films (KLN, KNN, AlScN) with high crystalline orientation and strong piezoelectric activity for RF filters and sensors. The position is part of the Chair UPM-INDRA in Microelectronics.

The candidate will work under the supervision of the HRS4R Department and collaborate with INDRA Sistemas S.A.

Qualifikationen

• Must be in final year of a Master degree program in Materials, Telecommunication or Electronic Engineering.
• Experience in materials science and electronic characterization is valued.
• Experience with FEM simulations is valued.

Aufgaben

• Investigate sputter growth of piezoelectric thin films with controlled orientation and piezoelectric activity.
• Optimize reactive sputtering process parameters (pressure, pulsed DC, substrate temp, gas ratio).
• Characterize samples using XRD, FTIR, AFM and SEM.
• Fabricate demonstrators (acoustic resonators) and assess frequency response.
• Study effects of post-deposition annealing.
