Alpiq Energía España SAU in Pontevedra invites you to join as Market Access Pricing Analyst. You will lead pricing activities and portfolio analyses for renewable energy plants, linking trading and origination to deliver optimal pricing strategies in intraday and balancing services.

We seek a degree in engineering, economics, finance, or data science with pricing and risk experience, strong Python/SQL/Power BI skills, and excellent English.

• Experience in pricing and risk analysis, ideally in energy.
• Knowledge of energy markets, intraday and balancing services.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL and Power BI.

• English at C1 level.

Responsabilidades

• Own the pricing process as part of the Intraday Team.
• Analyze power-market fundamentals including load and generation mix.
• Assess regulatory changes to inform decisions on renewables.
• Build valuation, forecasting and risk models.
• Enhance pricing tools and adapt to new requirements.
• Develop pricing strategies with Trading and Origination teams.
• Perform portfolio analysis and risk quantification.
• Prepare ad-hoc and risk reports per guidelines.

Your responsibilities

• Responsibility for the pricing process. As part of the Intraday Team, you will act as a liaison between Trading and Origination, helping to put optimal pricing strategies into practice and ensure a flawless pricing process.
• Analyze power-market fundamentals, including load, generation mix, grid constraints and fuel prices.
• You will carry out detailed analyses of industry trends and regulatory changes in order to make well-founded decisions in the field of managing renewable energies in the Intraday market and balancing services.
• Build and maintain valuation, forecasting, and risk models.
• Optimizing existing pricing tools and adapting them to new requirements.
• Development of innovative pricing strategies together with the Trading and Origination teams, to strengthen Alpiq's competitiveness.
• Continuous portfolio analysis and risk quantification to identify new business opportunities and support risk assessment and management.
• Preparation of ad-hoc and risk management reports in accordance with internal guidelines to ensure decision making.

Your profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree with a focus on engineering, economics, finance or data science.
• Experience in pricing and risk analysis, ideally in the energy sector.
• Knowledge of the energy market, in particular intraday and balancing services power trading.
• User knowledge of Python, SQL & Power BI as well as strong analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills and a structured way of working.
• High level in English (C1).
