LGT Digital Factory (DiF) in Barcelona seeks a Managed Services Lead to head a team of 10 specialists across Quality as a Service, Workflow as a Service, and Platform & Performance Engineering.

As service owner and strategic partner, you will shape offerings to deliver measurable value to internal clients, ensuring designs are transparent, governed, and reliably delivered with continuous improvement. A hybrid Barcelona role with travel in Europe is expected.

Formación

• Senior leadership experience in multidisciplinary teams.

LGT Digital Factory (DiF) is seeking aManaged Services Lead to join its leadership team in Barcelona. You will lead a team of 10 specialists across Quality as a Service, Workflow as a Service, and Platform & Performance Engineering.

As service owner, people leader and strategic partner, you will shape service offerings that deliver measurable value to internal clients. Ensuring they are well designed, transparently governed, reliably delivered and continuously improved

What you'll do

• Contribute actively to the DiF Management Board, shaping strategy, headcount planning, budget management, and the evolution of DiF as a world-class nearshore delivery organization.
• Line-manage and develop technically cross-functional teams; provide mentoring, performance frameworks, and career development guidance to drive individual and collective excellence.
• Foster a positive and inclusive work environment where team members feel valued, motivated, and empowered to succeed.
• Collaborate with HR suppliers in recruitment, onboarding, and retention efforts to attract and retain top talent.
• Act as the primary services interface between DiF, LGT corporate IT functions, business units, and select external technology partners, translating service-related requirements.
• Lead and facilitate cross-functional workshops, design thinking sessions, and agile ceremonies to align delivery squads with product and business priorities.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Leadership expertise

• 3-5 years of formal or informal leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams
• Supports the leadership team in developing and implementing strategic plans to drive business growth and achieve organizational objectives.
• Represents DiF within the LGT organization and shares DiF values and procedures with all involved parties (internal and suppliers)
• Provides guidance to team members and stakeholders, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
• Supports efforts to identify and pursue new business opportunities for DiF
• Familiarity with business administration responsibilities: budgeting, capacity planning, OKR frameworks, and resource allocation in a technology-led organization.
• Exposure to nearshore or distributed delivery hub management, including vendor governance and cross-border team coordination

Technical Expertise

Performance engineering:

• Experience defining and implementing the performance engineering approach and tooling, leveraging tools such as JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner, k6, Dynatrace, and Grafana.
• Track record with advanced load and performance testing and monitoring.
• Demonstrated ability managing performance risks and incidents, coordinating cross-functional teams to identify root causes and deliver timely, sustainable improvements.

Business process automation:

• Knowledge in documenting and automating business processes in service industries
• Experience applying workflow automation tools such as Flowable, Camunda
• Ability to manage end-to-end workflow solutions, including process analysis, solution design, implementation, integration and continuous improvement.

Quality assurance:

• Experience with quality management and test automation tools such as UiPath, Tosca etc.) and related governance.
• Ability to organize and implement efficient testing and quality assurance processes and related standards and ensure continuous improvement of the approaches.
• Proficiency in quality management, including metrics and stakeholder reporting.

AI-enabled delivery:

• Hands-on experience and strong interest in leveraging agentic AI approaches to streamline service management and delivery

Industry Knowledge

• Background in financial services, banking or insurance
• Understanding of regulatory compliance and security standards in banking / European wealth management

INDUSTRY KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Master's degree in computer science, information technology, or related engineering field (mandatory)
• Advanced training or proficiency in process and performance engineering, quality assurance, workflow automation, project management, and agile delivery frameworks.
• Business-fluent English (verbal/written) for global stakeholder collaboration
• German and/or Spanish are an advantage.

Location and working model

The role is based in Barcelona with a hybrid working model.Regular office presence is expected (at least three days per week) and the role involves regular travel within Europe. Relocation support can be considered for international candidates.
