Hero is looking for a Maintenance Manager to spearhead maintenance operations in Alcantarilla, Spain. In this role, you will lead preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance, ensuring that production assets perform at their best in a safe environment.

The ideal candidate has a university degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, along with at least 5 years of industrial maintenance experience and strong PLC programming skills. Join a collaborative culture that fosters continuous development.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance.
• Experience leading technical teams for at least 3 years.
• Proven programming experience in Allen-Bradley / Rockwell Automation PLCs.

Responsabilidades

• Lead preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues on the shop floor.
• Manage maintenance operations through CMMS.

What you’ll achieve

Be the First Line of Defense

• You will lead all preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities, ensuring production assets perform at their best with zero compromise on safety or quality.

Lead from the Front

• You will be hands‑on when it matters most, stepping onto the shop floor to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues alongside your team.
• You will analyze failures, identify anomalies, and transform data into technical reports and continuous improvement actions that strengthen our maintenance strategy.

Own the System

• You will manage maintenance operations autonomously through the CMMS, ensuring compliance with operational standards and seamless coordination with production and technical teams.

Build a High‑Performance Team

• You will motivate, coach, and develop technicians, providing technical guidance and supporting on‑the‑job training to raise capability across the team.

Who you are

• University degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, with solid foundations in industrial environments.

Hands‑On Maintenance Leader

• At least 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance and a minimum of 3 years leading technical teams.
• Comfortable being directly involved in machine breakdowns when the situation demands it.

Automation & PLC Specialist

• Proven experience programming PLCs (Allen‑Bradley / Rockwell Automation).
• Strong command of IEC 61131‑3 languages such as Ladder Logic (LD), Function Block Diagram (FBD), and Structured Text (ST).

Reliability & Continuous Improvement Mindset

• Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, RCM methodologies, and CMMS tools (SAP PM, Maximo, GMAO).
• Analytical, structured problem‑solver with a proactive communication style.

Global Communicator

• Fluent Spanish and a B2 level of English, both written and spoken.

Nice to have

• Additional technical specialization in electromechanics, industrial electricity, automation, or mechatronics is a strong plus.
• LEAN Manufacturing.
• Experience in predictive maintenance.
• Experience within food production environments, including practical expertise in filling machines, mixers, CIP systems, case packers, end‑of‑line equipment, heat exchangers, and industrial refrigeration systems, is highly valued.
