We are looking for a proactive and organized Junior Logistics Specialist to support the daily logistics operations for MG Motor in Spain. The selected candidate will assist in vehicle flow coordination, compound organization, and damage management, ensuring smooth communication between the logistics team, compounds, transport partners, and dealerships.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain Coordination
- Assist the supply and sales team to prepare accurate arrival forecast.
- Conduct detail arrival and vehicles turn around planning to ensure smooth operations and optimize the contractual space
Compound Operations
- Support the organization and control of vehicle movements within the compound, including reception, inspection, storage, and dispatch.
- Ensure vehicles are correctly positioned, tracked, and prepared for delivery to dealerships.
- Maintain updated records of stock levels and vehicle status in coordination with compound teams.
- Daily coordination with suppliers to ensure set KPIs are met.
Damage Management
- Assist in identifying, reporting, and tracking vehicle damages.
- Coordinate with workshops, inspection agencies, and transport providers to ensure timely repair and reporting.
- Maintain damage records and prepare regular summaries for management review.
- Follow up with the insurance and quality teams when required.
Dealership Coordination
- Act as point of contact for dealerships regarding vehicle deliveries, damage reports, and logistics updates.
- Constantly seek for solutions for most accurate delivery information for dealerships, such as system development, data transfer with suppliers.
- Support the planning and scheduling of vehicle deliveries to ensure on-time performance.
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve any issues related to vehicle handover.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare and update logistics reports, including delivery schedules, compound status, and damage follow-up.
- Support transport documentation processes as required.
- Internal audit on suppliers’ invoices.
Continuous Improvement
- Participate in initiatives to improve compound efficiency and reduce damages.
- Contribute ideas to optimize delivery and inspection processes.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in logistics, vehicle handling, or compound operations (automotive preferred).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of logistics documentation and damage reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related tools.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
