Embark on an exciting career journey with Optima, recognized as one of the 1000 fastest-growing companies in Europe. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Operations Associate to join our vibrant team.
About Us:
At Optima, we've had a front row seat to the fundamental changes of this industry we know and love. Whether it's a move from third-party data to first-party data, being ahead of the curve in programmatic, and preparing for a new cookieless world, we pride ourselves in removing the hassle. Our publishers can count on revenue streams that are optimized and predictable, so they can continue doing what they do best: inform and entertain global consumers.
Job Description
As an Operations Associate, you\'ll be at the heart of our publisher operations: onboarding new publishers, monitoring performance across our portfolio, and making sure our data — and the decisions built on it — can be trusted.
This is a high-ownership role with direct impact on revenue. You\'ll work daily with our Business Development, Operations, and Data teams, and you\'ll build deep expertise in the programmatic supply chain (SSPs, DSPs, header bidding, ads.txt) from day one. It\'s an ideal entry point for someone who wants to build a career in ad tech.
Responsibilities:
Publisher onboarding & technical integration
Own the creation and ongoing maintenance of ads.txt / app-ads.txt files for each publisher, aligned with their demand stack and DSP requirements
Support technical setup of new publishers: ad tags, header bidding configuration, and QA before go-live
Account operations
Assist the Business Development team with new-publisher onboarding and keep the new-business pipeline data accurate and up to date in our CRM
Support adoption of our sales tools and processes across the region
Performance monitoring & optimization
Monitor daily performance across multiple publishers (impressions, fill rate, CPM, CTR, viewability, revenue) against targets
Identify underperformance early, diagnose root causes, and make or recommend adjustments to improve results
Troubleshoot delivery and discrepancy issues with internal teams and external partners
Audit our internal dashboards regularly to ensure data accuracy and completeness; escalate anomalies quickly
Produce clear, accurate performance reports for publishers and internal stakeholders
Surface insights and trends that inform commercial and product decisions
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Strong interest and knowledge of the ad-tech universe.
Proficiency with office productivity tools; ability to quickly adapt to new software and systems.
Experience working with publishers is required; experience at a demand-side partner or other demand-side company is a strong plus.
Proficiency in ad serving platforms.
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality regarding company and employee information.
Strong analytical skills, identify trends and make data-driven decisions.
Hybrid work model from our Barcelona office. (3 days at the office / 2 days remote)
Real ownership from week one, with structured onboarding and mentorship from senior operators.
A clear growth path.
Front-row exposure to a fast-scaling company working with leading publishers.
Paid team lunch every week.
Founders deserve to spend their time building companies, not dealing with accounting, taxes, payroll, and administrative work.
Kompanion is building the operating system for founders. We combine expert services with proprietary software to manage the operational side of running a company in one connected experience.
Technology and AI are at the core of everything we do. Our ambition is to make our specialists radically more efficient and rigorous, while giving founders the visibility and control they need to focus on growing their business.
About the Opportunity
We\'re looking for a junior, technically-minded Operations Associate to own client onboarding at Kompanion, and then rebuild it around AI agents.
Onboarding a new client today involves real, hands-on work: collecting documents, configuring systems, coordinating with our accounting team, chasing information, entering data across tools. Your first job is to run that process yourself, by hand, for real clients, until you know every step, every edge case, and every bit of friction from the inside.
Once you know it cold, your real mission starts: use AI agents to make onboarding as fast and effortless as possible. We\'re not looking for a couple of scripts around the edges; we want onboarding rebuilt around agents that handle the repetitive, well-defined steps end to end, so a human only steps in for judgment calls and exceptions.
You don\'t need prior experience in accounting or operations. We\'re looking for someone recently out of university (or with up to ~2 years of experience) who is organised and reliable enough to run a real client process, and technical enough to turn what they learn into working agents.
What You\'ll Be Doing
Design and build AI agents that take over the repetitive, well-defined parts of onboarding: gathering documents, validating data, configuring systems, following up with clients, updating our internal tools.
What You\'ll Need
Nice to Have
We\'re a start-up and value ownership, autonomy and growth. This role offers direct exposure to founders and the opportunity to impact product and operations strategies.
