Job summary

The Camas School District is seeking a dedicated paraprofessional to support students with structured literacy and reading intervention. You will collaborate with LAP/Title staff and building teams to deliver targeted instruction, track data, and maintain records.

Requirements include AA degree or equivalent, with BA preferred, plus training in structured literacy. Proficiency in MS Office/Google, and a valid driver's license are expected, with a possibility of additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• AA degree or equivalent credits; BA/BS preferred.
• Training in evidence-based structured literacy (e.g., LETRS, Orton Gillingham, IMSE).
• Instructional paraprofessionals must complete the state required courses.
• Experience with reading instruction and/or intervention services.

Responsibilities

• Implement instructional support for word recognition.
• Maintain accurate student records and data.
• Prepare educational materials for focused literacy instruction.
• Support Lexia usage with students.
• Collaborate with teachers to provide Tier I/II literacy help.
• Collect data and participate in ongoing professional development.
• Assist with diagnostics and progress monitoring when needed.
