Jobtailor in Barcelona is seeking an experienced Linux systems administrator to manage the international group’s infrastructure. You will maintain all websites at the infrastructure level, and create new sites for new jurisdictions.

The role demands hands-on expertise with VMware ESX, Ansible, NGINX/Apache, Zabbix, MariaDB, SVN and Git, plus strong scripting and documentation skills. English and Spanish fluency is required, and you will be on-call every three weeks while residing in the

• 5-10 years of experience in a similar position.
• Advanced knowledge of Linux environments.
• Experience with virtualization technologies, especially VMware ESX.
• Expert level using Ansible.
• Proficient with NGINX and Apache.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring systems (Zabbix).
• Database administration with MariaDB.
• Version control with SVN and Git.
• Knowledge of essential Linux services (iptables, NTP, VPN, FTPS).
• Strong scripting for automation.
• Clear documentation of processes.
• Fluent English; Spanish bilingual preferred.
• Resident in the Barcelona area; on-call every 3 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of all web sites for the international group at the infrastructure level.
• New site creation including new sites for new jurisdictions (countries).
• Update and monitoring of new software versions and technologies.
• Install and administration of new infrastructures and existing infrastructures.
• Technical support/reporting during audits.
• Automated periodical reporting to the different gaming control entities (updating or augmenting the current automated tools).

Requirements

• Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a similar position
• Advanced knowledge of Linux environments
• Experience with virtualization technologies, particularly VMWare ESX administration
• Expert level using Ansible
• Proficient in managing web servers such as NGINX and Apache
• Hands‑on experience with monitoring systems and tools such as Zabbix
• Skilled in database administration, specifically with MariaDB
• Familiarity with version control systems including SVN and Git
• Knowledge of essential Linux services such as iptables, NTP, VPN, and FTPS
• Strong scripting abilities for automation and task optimization
• Capable of documenting technical processes clearly and effectively
• Good understanding of written and spoken English
• Bilingual or native level of Spanish
• Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple workloads under tight deadlines
• Excellent critical thinking and problem‑solving skills
• Professional, patient demeanour with a proactive, can‑do attitude
• Residing in the Barcelona area
• Availability to work on call – guardias- every 3 weeks
