Titan OS, based in Barcelona, seeks a seasoned embedded software engineer to own firmware development for TV SoCs. You will integrate third-party software, debug complex issues, and help shape the platform architecture for new features and performance improvements.

You will work with Linux kernel development, device drivers, and browser engine integration, collaborating with hardware and software teams to deliver high-quality products in a fast-growing CTV space.

Formación

• 5-10 years of hands-on embedded software development experience.
• Proficient in C for embedded devices and kernel-level work.
• Experience embedding a browser engine (Chromium, WPE WebKit) into TV/set-top.
• Strong Linux kernel development and driver experience (I2C, SPI, UART, USB, Ethernet).
• Experience with bootloaders and tooling (Shell, Makefiles, Yocto/Buildroot).
• GIT/GitHub/JIRA for version control and project tracking.
• Knowledge of debugging and core dump analysis.
• Driven, responsible, and quality-focused.

Responsabilidades

Role overview

Overall responsibility for developing, integrating, testing, and maintaining our Linux firmware used on different TV hardware platforms. You will actively influence the software architecture to improve resiliency, debuggability, and maintainability. The job will also require managing third-party providers and integrating their software.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, debug, and maintain firmware for TV SoCs firmware
• Manage and coordinate third-party providers. Integrate providers' software into our firmware
• Troubleshooting software and performance issues, working with Software and Hardware Engineers to undertake root cause analysis
• Engage with Product Owners to evolve the platform, to ensure that it can continue to adopt and support new features and technologies
• Employ test-driven development methodologies and automated unit testing

What makes you a great fit

• 5-10 years of hands-on experience in embedded software development
• Strong C programming skills for embedded devices
• Hands-on experience embedding a browser engine (Chromium, WPE WebKit, or similar) into a TV or a set-top
• Must be proficient with Linux kernel development
• Experience developing and debugging drivers for SoCs peripherals (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART, USB, Ethernet, etc.)
• Experience with bootloaders
• Experience working with Shell-Script, Makefiles/Yocto/Buildroot, git, GitHub, and JIRA
• Experience in debugging/core dump analysis
• Must be responsible, self-motivated, and have a solid work ethic with a desire to produce quality products
