Westinghouse Nuclear Spain SAU in Vila-Seca, Spain, seeks a Licensing Engineer II to prepare Safety Evaluations for design changes, ALARA analyses and Environmental Assessments. This full-time, hybrid role reports to the Supervisory Engineer of Licensing and involves international regulatory processes.

You will apply knowledge of nuclear design, construction and operation, plus U.S. and international licensing requirements, to create licensing submittals for utilities and regulators.

Formación

• EU citizen authorized to work in Spain.
• Fluent in written and spoken Spanish and English (minimum B2 level).
• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of professional engineering experience, preferably in nuclear or regulated industries.
• Willingness to travel internationally.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare Safety Evaluations for Design Changes, ALARA analyses, Environmental Assessments and related licensing submittals.
• Report to the Supervisory Engineer of Licensing and be located at Vila-Seca (hybrid).
• Apply knowledge of design, construction, operation and decommissioning of nuclear power plants.
• Apply knowledge of U.S. and international nuclear regulations and licensing processes.
• Develop licensing and technical submittals for utilities and regulators.
• Collaborate with teams to resolve critical issues affecting construction and operation of the plant.

About The Role

As a Licensing Engineer II you will preparation of Safety Evaluations for Design Changes, ALARA analyses, Environmental Assessments among other tasks. This is a full-time job.

You will report to the Supervisory Engineer of Licensing and be located at Vila-Seca. This is a hybrid position.

Main Responsibilities

• Participate in local and international projects developing multiple assignments within the Licensing discipline.
• You will report directly to the technical lead of the Vila-seca Licensing group.
• Apply and expand knowledge of the design, construction, operation and decommissioning of nuclear power plants.
• Apply knowledge of U.S. and international nuclear regulations and licensing processes.
• Create licensing and technical submittals for utilities and nuclear regulators.
• Work in teams to resolve critical issues affecting the construction and operation of nuclear power plant.
• Develop a business relationship with other Westinghouse engineers and our customers.

Qualifications

• You are EU Citizen, authorized to work in Spain.
• Fluent in written and spoken Spanish and English (minimum B2 level or equivalent) .
• Bachelor or master's degree in Engineering or related field
• Availability for international travel.
• We will value previous knowledge of or experience in the nuclear sector.
• We will provide position-specific training and professional development opportunities.
• Interest in developing knowledge of U.S. and international regulatory processes for nuclear power plants.
• We consider experience working with utilities, engineering organizations, vendors, or nuclear regulatory authorities.
• 3+ years of professional engineering experience, preferably within the nuclear industry or other regulated industries.
