Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Barcelona seeks an experienced Lead Scheduler to join our team on complex Data Centre construction projects. You will lead on-site scheduling activities and collaborate with contractors and internal teams to maintain the master schedule.

The role focuses on integrating work packages, delivering regular progress reports, and ensuring schedule integrity through strong Stakeholder management and communication skills across English and Spanish-speaking teams.

Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of experience in project planning and scheduling, with a focus on complex construction projects, and preferably previous Data Center experience.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and EVM.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Experience coordinating multiple sources of schedule performance data into a master schedule platform and deliver project status reports for large-scale projects.
  • Strong managerial and stakeholder management experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Develops good working relationships with project team.
  • Tenacity and drive to inject value and create solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the on site scheduling team to review internal schedules, review contractor's schedules, analyse, review, validate and report on time impacts or delays.
  • Maintain and monitor the master plan schedule.
  • Prepare and monitor tasks ensuring realization of project requirements against the schedule.
  • Lead development of tender and contractual schedule requirements and KPIs.
  • Develop and manage the integrated work breakdown structure for the project.
  • Integrate contract packages into the master plan schedule.
  • Review contractor's submitted schedules and make recommendations to client.
  • Prepare regular internal/external weekly and monthly progress reports for management and client.
  • Monitor progress on key milestones and report compliance with Baseline Programme.
  • Interact with contractor and verify project data to update the schedule.
  • Assess contractor's extension of time claims and prepare defense reports.
  • Provide recommendations on contractor EOT claims.
  • Analyze critical path and constraints to assess impact of changes.
  • Plan site logistics for the project.
  • Propose micro-management schedules for critical elements.

Job Description

Turner & Townsend is looking for an experienced Lead Scheduler to join our team.The ideal candidate will have a track record of working on complex Data Centres large scale construction projects.

Job Objectives

  • Lead the on site scheduling teamto review internal schedules, review contractor's schedules, analyse, review, validate and report on any time impacts, scope change impacts or delay enabling early identification of risks
  • Maintain and monitor master plan schedule
  • Prepare and monitor tasks ensuring satisfactory realization of project requirements against the project schedule
  • Lead the development of the tender requirements and contractual requirements, including contractual KPl's in relation to schedule accuracy, achievement of key milestones and timely submission of programmes for the Core Contracts
  • Develop and manage the integrated work breakdown structure for the project
  • Integrate various contract packages into master plan schedule
  • Review contractor's submitted schedule and make recommendations to client
  • Prepare regular internal/external weekly and monthly progress report for management and client
  • Monitor progress on key delivery milestones and report on compliance in line with the agreed Baseline Programme
  • Interact with contractor and verify the project data to update project schedule
  • Assess any contractor's extension of time claim and prepare defense claim report
  • Put forward recommendation report for any contractor's EOT claim
  • Analyze critical path and constraints to determine the effect of changes to project schedule
  • Work out site logistic planning for project
  • Prepare and propose 'micro-management' schedules for critical elements of work
Qualifications
