BTD is seeking a Lead Hydraulic Infrastructure Project Engineer in Madrid, Spain. The role requires extensive civil works experience, with emphasis on water projects and international deployments.

You will lead project teams, manage EPC contracts, and ensure on-time delivery within budget, while upholding safety and environmental standards. French and English negotiation skills are required, with willingness to travel or relocate.

Formación

• 10 years of experience in civil works, with at least 5 years in water project management.
• Experience in international projects, desirable in high-growth regions in Sub-Saharan Africa and Latam.
• Field experience in project execution.
• Knowledge in hydraulics and construction.
• French and English at negotiation level.
• Willingness to travel and/or change residence.
• Strategic thinking and analytical capacity.
• Planning and organizational skills.
• Negotiation and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Compile and analyze documentation for strategy development of assigned projects.
• Elaborate the technical and economic planning of the projects.
• Manage and supervise assigned projects and teams.
• Negotiate EPC contracts with suppliers and subcontractors; ensure procedures compliance during execution.
• Collaborate with purchasing to optimize resources and supervision.
• Ensure projects are on time and within approved budget, meeting safety and environmental criteria.
• Manage communications with clients, administrators, audits, etc.; handle payments and collections.
• Monitor progress and quality; implement strategies to prevent and resolve issues.
• Prepare evaluation reports and final closure.

Functions

• Compilation and analysis of documentation for the development of the strategy of the assigned projects.
• Elaboration of the technical and economic planning of the assigned projects.
• Management and team control of assigned projects.
• Manage, supervise and negotiate EPC contracts with suppliers and subcontractors. During the execution of the project, ensure compliance with the procedures.
• Work closely with the purchasing department for the optimization and supervision of resources.
• Ensure that the project is executed on time and according to the approved budget, complying with technical, safety and environmental criteria.

• Follow-up of the progress and quality of the work during all phases of execution, implementing strategies for the prevention and resolution of problems.
