Job summary

Gameloft Barcelona seeks an experienced Senior Game Designer to shape the vision, tone, and progression of our PC/Console titles. You will lead the design team, collaborate across departments, and ensure cohesive gameplay experiences across multiple platforms.

You will prototype with Unity or Unreal, balance meta-game systems, and maintain a strong creative strategy while adapting to market trends. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in game design with lead or principal roles
• Released at least two titles as lead/principal/senior game designer
• Proven experience in PC/Console action genres (sports, racing, combat, shooters, open world)
• Experience prototyping with Unity or Unreal
• Proficiency in meta-game, progression systems, balancing, UI/UX, level design, and narrative
• Proficient communication and leadership skills
• Fluent English
• Up-to-date knowledge of the gaming market and trends

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with studio stakeholders and game team leads to define and execute the game vision
• Direct tone, gameplay, and meta structure of the game, focusing on innovation and AA Experience
• Lead the design team to ensure a cohesive experience across the game
• Coordinate with level design teams to ensure synergies between mechanics and progression
• Anticipate and mitigate threats to quality and innovation
• Build a collaborative relationship with Art, UI, Tech, Online, Data, Audio, Production and HR
• Allocate and plan resources and roadmap in collaboration with managers and producers
• Participate in the recruitment process for game designers
