UCB in Barcelona seeks a Lead Full-Stack AI Product Engineer to help build an AI-powered precision medicine platform. You will own end-to-end development, from architecture to deployment, and collaborate with Translational Analytics to translate complex data into actionable insights.

You will contribute to AI capabilities, manage data security and access, and drive scalable, reproducible research workflows in a hybrid Barcelona environment.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or related discipline.
• At least three years of software development experience, including building and deploying subscription-based web applications.
• Strong programming and software engineering experience using Python, R and SQL.
• Experience designing scalable cloud-based systems, containerized workflows and reproducible analytical data pipelines.
• Experience integrating AI into software products and analyzing multiple data types, including imaging data.

As a founding member of our new Barcelona R&D Hub, you will help build the AI-powered precision medicine platform that transforms clinical and molecular patient data into insights that accelerate drug discovery and improve patient outcomes.

To help drive this vision, we are looking for a curious, collaborative and solutions-focused Lead Full-Stack AI Product Engineer to join our Translational Analytics team.

About The Role

You will develop and manage the next phase of our in-house precision medicine platform, helping researchers use clinical and molecular patient data to make informed decisions in drug discovery. You will take end-to-end responsibility for the platform’s technical development, from implemented architecture through deployment, including daily product operations and continuous improvement. You will also contribute to the ongoing platform artificial intelligence capabilities to help teams translate complex data into actionable therapeutic opportunities.

You will be working in a Translational Analytics team that partners with clinical researchers, bioinformatics specialists, information technology and wet lab colleagues as well as other cross-functional teams. Together, you will turn scientific and user requirements into secure, reliable and user-friendly digital solutions, while establishing consistent data standards and responsible access to clinical and molecular patient information. • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or a related discipline.
• At least three years of software development experience, including building and successfully deploying subscription-based web applications.
• Strong programming and software engineering experience using R, Python programming language and structured query language.
• Experience designing scalable cloud-based systems, containerized workflows and reproducible analytical data pipelines.
• Experience integrating artificial intelligence into software products and analyzing multiple data types, including imaging data.
• Strong technical judgment, with the ability to evaluate technical trade-offs, define realistic timelines, and clearly communicate technical decisions to scientific and non-technical colleagues.
