Eaton seeks a Power Distribution Field Services Engineer Lead to support the EMEA region, with deep technical knowledge of Eaton’s MV product portfolio and hands-on experience in commissioning large-scale projects.

The role is not a people manager but a highly skilled technical expert who collaborates with field service teams, sales organizations, and customers across the region. Travel up to 50% within EMEA, and remote work in Spain is possible.

Formación

• HND or Equivelant experience with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Theoretical and practical understanding of MV distribution systems including 3 phase theory, harmonics, power factor correction.

Responsabilidades

• Provide service to Eaton customers for installation and maintenance of MV equipment.
• Maintain existing MV equipment to meet customer requirements per Eaton safety guidelines.
• Lead to support other service engineers and act as primary contact during installation projects.

We are seeking a Power Distribution Field Services Engineer Lead. This role will support the EMEA region.

We are seeking a candidate with deep technical knowledge of Eaton’s Power Distribution product portfolio and hands‑on experience in commissioning large‑scale projects.

The role is not a people manager but rather a highly skilled Power Distribution technical expert. This individual will collaborate closely with field service teams across the region, country sales organizations, and customers.

Travel rate is up to 50% in the region.

The role is open remotely in Spain.

What You’ll Do

• Provides a service to Eaton customers, to carry out the installation & maintenance of MV equipment manufactured within the Eaton Electrical business
• Maintain other existing MV electrical equipment to fulfill customer requirements in line with Eaton Safety requirements.
• Take lead to support other service engineers
• Being the primary point of contact for our customers during the execution of installation projects

Qualifications

• HND or Equivelant experience (10 or more years of relevant experience)
• Theoretical and practical understanding of MV distribution systems with evidence of electrical qualifications, including but not limited to 3 phase theory, harmonics, power factor correction

Skills

• Ability to create RAMS (risk assessments, method statements) including arrangements for high voltage, high current testing
• Harness a safety culture and confident with LOTO (lock out tag out) system of working
• Ability to produce test plans for SAT (site acceptance testing) of MV systems based on switchgear specification, scheme drawings, standard tests and relay settings.
• Understanding and interpreting electrical drawings with the ability and confidence to challenge potential drawing omissions.
• Sound knowledge of MV mechanical installation
• High level competence in post installation primary plant testing;
• High level competence in the safe use of commissioning test equipment (T&R, Megger, Fluke, Omicron including automated test file creation)
• Function testing of MV switchgear
• Inter tripping, interlocking, blocking, CBF, I/O’s
• Competent in MV witness SAT testing and carrying out customer demonstrations of Eaton equipment
• Ability to be lead engineer and work within a team with an ambition to improve the quality of delivery and customer experience
• Working closely with project management ensuring deliverables are within target completion dates.
• Coaching/developing new and existing engineers where required and a desire to develop further in technical fields
• The flexibility to work within EMEA and stay away when required
