Matchtech is seeking a Lead Data Scientist (Business Partner) for a Hybrid role in Madrid. You will drive Generative AI initiatives, partner with global teams and align AI strategy with business goals to deliver scalable solutions.

Lead the end‑to‑end AI lifecycle, guide production deployments, and champion ethical, scalable AI practices while communicating across English and Spanish in a multinational environment.

Formación

• 9+ years of experience in AI, Data Science, or Advanced Analytics.
• Proven track record delivering AI/GenAI solutions with real business impact.
• Strong experience co‑creating use cases with business teams.

Lead Data Scientist (Business Partner) Hybrid (3 days in Madrid office, Alcobendas)

Are you passionate about Generative AI and motivated by the challenge of leading high‑impact initiatives? We’re looking for a Lead Data Scientist to drive AI‑powered innovation within our Digital Innovation Hub—acting as the strategic connector between business vision and technological capability.

What You’ll Do

• Lead AI Strategy & Execution - Transform emerging AI capabilities into practical, scalable solutions that address real business challenges.
• Own the End-to-End AI Lifecycle - From research and rapid prototyping to robust production deployment, you’ll guide every phase of AI and data science initiatives.
• Collaborate Globally - Work closely with global AI and analytics teams to align strategy, share best practices, and co‑develop cutting‑edge solutions.
• Drive Cross‑Functional Impact - Partner with EMEA business units (Marketing, Operations, Product, etc.) to identify and shape high‑value AI opportunities.
• Advance Generative AI Exploration - Lead experimentation with state‑of‑the‑art models (LLMs, generative architectures) to accelerate business impact and enhance customer experiences.
• Champion AI Excellence - Promote ethical, scalable, and business‑aligned AI practices across the organization, acting as a thought leader and trusted advisor.
• Ensure Quality & Reliability - Guarantee the performance, scalability, and integrity of AI models across all deployments.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and prioritize AI opportunities with business stakeholders.
• Define functional and technical requirements for AI solutions, starting with chatbot‑focused initiatives.
• Coordinate end‑to‑end delivery with cross‑functional teams (Data, IT, Product, Business).
• Validate model performance and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Communicate progress and results effectively in both English and Spanish.
• Foster a culture of innovation within the Digital Innovation Hub and promote AI adoption across teams.

What We’re Looking For

• 9+ years of experience in AI, Data Science, or Advanced Analytics.
• Proven track record delivering AI/GenAI solutions with real business impact.
• Strong experience co‑creating use cases with business teams.
• Solid technical foundation in Data Science/Engineering and a strategic mindset.
• Valuable expertise in NLP, including LLMs and chatbot development.
• Strong grounding in machine learning, statistical modeling, and applied mathematics (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.).
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and MLOps best practices.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on execution.
• Excellent /\"business translator/\" profile: comfortable engaging both senior executives and technical teams.
• Fluency in Spanish and English and experience working in multinational environments.
