Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, seeks a Principal Scientific Research Expert – Computational Theory & Physics based in Spain. You will tackle open research problems at the intersection of computational theory, physics, mathematics, and AI, guiding advanced models through rigorous investigations.

Collaborating across proofs, numerical experiments, simulations, and HPC, you will help establish evaluation standards and uncover future research directions for frontier AI systems.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of active research in CS, computational physics, or mathematical physics.
• Strong scholarly record in conferences/journals.
• Hands-on experience with computational research methods and HPC.

Responsibilities

• Identify foundational open research problems and computational challenges.
• Guide AI models through multi-stage research workflows (proofs, simulations, numerical experiments).
• Validate findings via formal methods, reproducibility, and literature comparison.
• Produce concise research memos documenting progress and limitations.
• Recommend research directions and evaluation standards for AI systems.
