Schneider Digital seeks a Lead, Cloud Operations to operate, maintain, and improve AWS cloud services, including EKS clusters, in a hybrid Barcelona setup. You will drive IaC pipelines, automate day-to-day tasks, and collaborate across IT to ensure high-quality cloud delivery.

You will work on security, incident management, and continuous improvement, with a focus on containerization, automation, and workload standardization across multiple teams in Schneider Electric.

Formación

• 3–5 years of experience in AWS services.
• Windows/Linux administrator 8 years.
• DevOps experience with Terraform, Python, Bash.
• EKS and Kubernetes experience.
• Administrator of IT infrastructure: OS Windows/Linux.
• Management of AWS services: EC2, EBS, S3, LB, SSM, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, etc.
• Automation: PowerShell scripting, Python, Ansible, Terraform, Bash.
• DevOps: GitHub, GitHub Actions.
• Basic Networking knowledge: VPC, SG, FW rules, routing.
• ITIL processes knowledge.
• AWS SysOps Administrator.
• DevOps certification.
• EKS, Kubernetes.

We are seeking talented individuals to join the team as Lead, Cloud Operations to supporting, refining and advancing our cloud services. Our efforts are centred around three main pillars: operational efficiency, collaboration, and cost optimization with special focus on containerization, automation, I infrastructure as Code evolution and standardization of the workload.

The main mission will be to operate, maintain, support and improve the AWS and IOM services in the cloud, acting as full stack infrastructure integrator among the different layers of IT.

What will you do?

• Understand our cloud infrastructure and relationship with other IT layers
• Ensure high level of security of our IT systems
• Support Business for cloud infrastructure projects and demands
• Maintain, operate and manage the IT infrastructures in the cloud
• Manage IaC pipelines for Cloud services creation and standardization
• Support and upgrade EKS clusters
• Improve our cloud operations with automation, simplification and continual improvement proposals
• Collaborate with application, SecOps, connectivity and other internal and external teams to ensure high level of quality in all infra cloud services

Key responsibilities include:

• Daily service follow-up, ensuring operations are performed with high quality level
• Resolve incidents in our scope and collaborate in the resolution with other teams
• Accountable for critical incidents P1/P2 management
• Reduce number of incidents and their duration in cloud
• Deliver users demands and service requests
• Understand our critical applications and the key technical components of each one
• Improve time to market for new requests, changes and evolutions
• Use and promote our standards
• Act actively to improve the security day to day
• Manage Obsolescence remediation: keep cloud infrastructure up-to-date
• Support and upgrade our EKS clusters
• Propose improvements to our tools, processes and procedures
• Develop automatized scripts to gain efficiency in the day to day activities
• Standardize services migrating them to IaC and EKS
• Manage critical platforms and tools for Cloud operations
