Gameloft Barcelona is seeking a Lead Animator to guide the animation team on a new action-based multi-platform IP featuring famous characters from a major licensor. You will establish a high-quality animation bar while developing the team and ensuring animations support personality, gameplay readability and player experience.

You will lead 3D Animators and Technical 3D Animators, collaborating with Studio Art Development Director and other disciplines to ensure seamless integration with gameplay

Formación

• Strong expertise in 3D character animation for games.
• Excellent understanding of movement, weight, acting, timing and storytelling.
• Fluent English in an international and multidisciplinary environment.
• A portfolio/showreel demonstrating strong character animation work and relevant game animation experience.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and develop the animation team, providing regular feedback, mentoring and guidance to animators across seniority levels.
• Own the animation quality bar, ensuring movement, weight, acting and storytelling meet project direction and licensor expectations.
• Plan and oversee animation production, manage priorities/workload and deliverables while providing hands-on animation support when needed.
• Collaborate with Game Design, Programming, Art and Technical Animation to ensure animations fit gameplay, including rigging, skinning and engine animation states.
• Coordinate animation work with external partners, providing clear briefs, reviews and actionable feedback for integration with internal work.
