Job summary

IMDEA Materials Institute, a public research organization in Madrid, seeks an experienced laboratory technician to support researchers, demonstrate procedures, and prepare samples. Qualifications

• At least 5 years experience in similar position in research institutions.
• Spanish level≥ C1 CEFR and English level≥ B1 CEFR are required.
• Experience in lab management, safety, and procurement processes is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Effectively support researchers by providing technical support, demonstrating procedures, and preparing samples.
• Prepare technical reports and ensure laboratories are well-stocked and compliant with waste procedures.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment; ensure health and safety practices are followed.
• Coordinate with management on risk assessments and safety evaluations.
• Supervise student projects and contribute to research proposals and external services.
