Andalusia Health is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) for Labor & Delivery at their accredited hospital in Andalusia, AL. This role involves comprehensive nursing care during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages, with responsibilities including monitoring patient well-being, administering medications, and collaborating with healthcare teams.

The position is flexible, requiring a commitment of a minimum of 36 hours per week over 12 weeks, with opportunities to float between units as needed. Candidates should possess strong clinical skills and relevant certifications.

Formación

• Current state RN license or compact state equivalent required.
• Minimum of six months experience as a Registered Nurse in labor and delivery preferred.
• Demonstrates professionalism, empathy, and patient-centered care.

Responsabilidades

• Provides comprehensive nursing care to laboring patients.
• Assists with labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
• Educates patients and families on postpartum care, breastfeeding, and newborn care.

Conocimientos

Strong clinical skills in obstetric and neonatal care

Proficient in fetal monitoring

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively in high-stress situations

Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) systems

Educación

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Herramientas

Basic Life Support (BLS)

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Intermediate Fetal Monitoring

Certification in Inpatient Obstetric Nursing (RNC-OB)
