Fundación IMDEA Materials in Spain is seeking a First Stage Researcher (R1) to provide technical support for laboratory research activities. The role includes operation, maintenance, and setup of laboratory equipment, as well as sample preparation and microstructural observation.

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and have a high level of English; applicants aged 16–29 with no prior employment with IMDEA will be considered under the STEP program.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Materials, Industrial Technologies, Aeronautical, Mechanical, Industrial Design, etc.).
• High level of English.
• Age 16-29 years at date of hiring and no prior employment with IMDEA.

Responsabilidades

• Provide technical support for laboratory research activities.
• Assist in operation, maintenance, and setup of laboratory equipment.
• Prepare samples and observe microstructural analysis (cutting, polishing, chemical etching, microscopy).
• Support good laboratory practices, health and safety, stock control, and waste management.
