ALBA is seeking a laboratory technician to lead technical management for Catalysis, Battery, Chemistry, and Materials laboratories. You will support experiment setup, sample preparation, and beamline collaborators, ensuring safety and efficient operation.

QUALIFICATIONS include a lab techniques background or chemistry/materials science degree, plus 2+ years of practical lab experience. The role offers permanent contract and opportunities for professional development.

Formación

• Hold an advanced professional training course (ciclo formativo de grado superior) on laboratory techniques or a degree in chemistry or materials sciences.
• Must demonstrate extensive experience as a laboratory technician in related areas (2+ years).
• Ability to use standard laboratory equipment and perform experiment setup and sample prep.

Responsabilidades

• Be in charge of technical management, including maintenance of the Catalysis/Battery/Chemistry/Materials laboratories.
• Provide technical support and scientific services to laboratory users and beamline staff.
• Identify safety hazards and implement risk mitigation procedures daily.
• Maintain stock, manage purchases, and update lab protocols.
• Perform other related tasks assigned by Management.
