Job summary

Align Technology, Inc. is seeking a Jr. Software Engineer to join the Global Manufacturing Applications team in the EMEA-Spain region.

You will develop reliable MES solutions, collaborating with product and process engineering to enable high-tech manufacturing operations and optimize performance across plants. The role emphasizes CI/CD implementation for manufacturing software, hands-on development in Java and related technologies, and ongoing knowledge growth.

Qualifications

BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
2+ years in software development in manufacturing ops environment.
Experience with multi-tiered software architectures.
Proficient in Java with OO design skills.
Familiar with SDLC and DevOps practices.
Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

Develop MES applications and reporting solutions using Java, SQL, PNuts and others.
Develop CI/CD pipeline solutions for the MES platform with DevOps.
Support MES integrations with Kafka, Rockwell FTPC, SAP Mii.
Identify opportunities for system and process improvements.
Troubleshoot complex, integrated software systems and perform root-cause analysis.
Document deployment notes and instructions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and end-users.
