Job summary

Hephae Energy Technology Corp. in Bilbao, Spain, seeks a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute to the next generation of geothermal drilling tools.

You will develop 3D models, create detailed drawings, and support hardware development from concept through prototyping and testing. Working with senior engineers and the R&D team, you will own components and subsystems, ensure manufacturability, and gain hands-on experience in extreme environments as part of a fast-paced, international

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 0–2 years in mechanical design, product development, or related.
• Strong fundamentals in materials, manufacturing processes, mechanics, and assemblies.
• Proficient in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks/Onshape/Siemens NX) and drafting.
• Strong English communication skills (CEFR C1).

Responsibilities

• Create and develop 3D models, components, and assemblies for advanced geothermal drilling tools.
• Design mechanical components and subsystems for high temp, high pressure, shock, and vibration environments.
• Generate technical drawings and manufacturing documentation with dimensions, tolerances, materials, and assembly requirements.
• Maintain CAD structures, configurations, and design revisions.
• Manage engineering data within PDM/PLM systems.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to evaluate design concepts and manufacturability.
• Support prototyping, assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of new tool concepts.
