Huawei is seeking a Legal professional to provide broad general legal support across corporate, commercial and regulatory matters in Spain. The role focuses on corporate governance, documentation, and coordinating with notaries, registries and external counsel.

You will draft and review contracts, perform legal research, and contribute to policy updates in line with Spanish law. The team values a proactive, organized, and detail-oriented approach, handling multiple matters and ensuring accuracy

Formación

  • Legal research, drafting and analysis skills.
  • Strong command of corporate and commercial law fundamentals.
  • Strong academic record and legal documentation experience.

Responsabilidades

  • Provide general legal support across corporate, commercial and regulatory matters.
  • Assist with preparation, review and management of corporate documentation (powers of attorney, board resolutions, minutes, annual accounts).
  • Support governance matters, including governance requirements and signature powers.
  • Coordinate with notaries, Commercial Registries and external legal counsel.
  • Review commercial contracts to identify risks and propose amendments.
  • Conduct legal research on new legislation and regulatory developments.
  • Draft newsletters, training materials and internal guidance; adapt policies to Spanish law.
  • Maintain accuracy and traceability of legal records and documentation.
  • Coordinate external counsel and prepare instructions; support related administrative tasks.
  • Prepare legal reports, meeting minutes, presentations and other documents for Legal Department.
  • Support other day-to-day legal matters arising from business operations.

Main Tasks

Provide general legal support across a broad range of corporate, commercial and regulatory matters, with a particular focus on corporate law, corporate governance and corporate documentation.

The services will include, among others:

  • Support the preparation, review and management of corporate documentation, including powers of attorney, shareholders' and board resolutions and minutes, annual accounts documentation, corporate certificates and other corporate records.
  • Provide support on corporate governance matters, including the analysis of governance requirements, corporate authorities, representation and signature powers, and internal decision-making and approval processes.
  • Assist with ongoing corporate and statutory matters and obligations, including coordination, where necessary, with notaries, Commercial Registries and external legal counsel.
  • Review and analyse commercial contracts and other legal documents, identifying legal and contractual risks and proposing appropriate amendments or mitigating measures.
  • Conduct legal research and analyse new legislation and regulatory developments potentially affecting the company, preparing legal summaries, reports and practical guidance for the business.
  • Draft legal newsletters, training materials, internal guidance and other legal communications, and support the review and adaptation of corporate policies to Spanish law.
  • Support the organisation and maintenance of legal and corporate documentation and records, ensuring their accuracy, consistency and proper traceability.
  • Assist in the engagement and coordination of external legal counsel, including preparation of instructions, follow-up of legal matters and administrative support related to external legal services.
  • Prepare legal reports, meeting minutes, presentations and other documentation required in connection with the Legal Department's activities.
  • Provide support on other legal matters arising from the company's day-to-day business, including commercial, regulatory and general corporate matters.
Background and previous experience:
  • At least 1-2 years of relevant legal experience, preferably gained in the Corporate/Commercial practice of a reputable law firm. Relevant in-house experience with significant exposure to corporate and commercial matters may also be considered.
  • Solid knowledge of Spanish corporate and commercial law, with practical experience in corporate matters.
  • Experience in the preparation and review of corporate documentation, such as powers of attorney, shareholders' and board resolutions and minutes, annual accounts documentation and corporate certificates.
  • Familiarity with corporate governance, representation and signature powers and Commercial Registry matters will be particularly valued.
  • Exposure to commercial contracts and other areas of business law will also be valued, as the role requires a generalist and flexible approach to legal matters.
Educational background (Mandatory):
  • Graduate in Spain from a Reference University (Not valid Approved title from another country)
  • Master's degree in access to law (or in process)
  • Strong academic record.
Requirements:
  • Native Spanish and excellent written and spoken English (C1 level or equivalent).
  • Strong legal research, analytical and drafting skills.
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, particularly when handling corporate and legal documentation.
  • Ability to work across different areas of law and manage several matters simultaneously.Ability to understand legal issues in their business context and provide practical support.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and PowerPoint.
  • Proactive, reliable and practical approach to legal work.
