The Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC-CNS) in Barcelona invites applications for a Junior Research Engineer (RE1) in the Mobile and Embedded HPC Team. The role focuses on benchmarking HPC platforms and deploying workloads on emerging architectures, including Arm and RISC‑V.

You will work on benchmarking campaigns, software integration, and validation against state-of-the-art HPC systems, contributing to energy monitoring and performance analysis within a collaborative environment.

Formación

• Ongoing higher degree studies in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, Physics or Mathematics.
• Demonstrated experience in vectorization studies and benchmarking of complex HPC applications at different technology readiness levels.
• Knowledge of parallel/cluster computation.

Responsabilidades

• Design and execute benchmarking campaigns of HPC systems at different technology readiness levels, from prototypes to production clusters.
• Integrate with the BSC tools and system software infrastructure.
• Validate results by comparing against reference implementations and state-of-the-art HPC systems.
• Understand, develop and maintain simple systems for power and energy monitoring of compute nodes.
