Job summary

INNOCV Solutions in Madrid is seeking a Backend Go Developer to join our technology team. You will progressively take on autonomy designing, developing, and maintaining efficient backend applications in Go, with mentorship from the senior team to support your growth.

You will collaborate with other teams to integrate services, optimize components, and contribute to architectural decisions. The role requires experience with RESTful APIs, relational and NoSQL databases, and strong problem solving,

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of backend experience required.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (MongoDB/Redis).
• Regular use of Git and version-control workflows.
• Knowledge of common design patterns and Clean Code principles.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend components and microservices in Go, progressively working more independently.
• Design and implement clean, efficient RESTful APIs.
• Collaborate with Frontend and other teams to integrate services.
• Identify, debug, and resolve issues in production and testing environments.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure quality and stability.
• Propose performance improvements for apps and queries.
• Participate in agile sprint planning and estimation.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a Backend Go Developer to join our technology team. In this role, you will progressively take on greater autonomy in designing, developing, and maintaining efficient and scalable backend applications in Go, with mentorship from the senior team to support your continued professional growth.

You will work closely with other teams to integrate services, optimize existing components, and contribute to architectural decisions.

We are looking for someone who has already gained some initial professional experience in backend development, has a solid understanding of API development and databases, and demonstrates a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to solve problems independently.

• Develop and maintain backend components and microservices in Go, progressively working more independently.
• Design and implement clean, efficient, and well-documented RESTful APIs.
• Collaborate effectively with the Frontend team and other technical profiles to integrate services.
• Actively participate in identifying, debugging, and resolving technical issues in production and testing environments.
• Contribute to code reviews by providing and receiving constructive feedback.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure software quality and stability.
• Propose targeted improvements to the performance of existing applications and database queries.
• Actively participate in task estimation and sprint planning within an Agile environment.

What do we value?

• 2–3 years of previous experience in backend development, preferably with Go or with experience in another language such as Java, Node.js, Python, or C#, and a recent transition to Go.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency in relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis).
• Regular and confident use of Git for version control, including branching workflows, pull requests, and related practices.
• Practical knowledge of common design patterns and coding best practices, including Clean Code principles.

Nice to have

• Previous experience using Jira or similar tools such as Trello or Azure DevOps to manage and track tasks within Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Knowledge of CI/CD and continuous integration practices.
