GMV is seeking an operator for its GOVSATCOM Hub team in Tres Cantos, Spain. This role focuses on ensuring effective communication between EU public entities and satellite service providers. The operator will handle service requests, monitor services, and develop operational procedures.

GMV has won the contract from the European Union Agency for the Space Programme (EUSPA) for the design, development, and deployment of the backbone of Europe’s critical satellite communications, the GOVSATCOM Hub.

We are looking for an operator to join the operations team of the GOVSATCOM Hub system. This system acts as an intermediary between users (public entities) from EU member countries and SATCOM service providers for the provision of satellite communication services.

Responsibilities

• Executing the necessary operations for receiving service requests from users and consolidating the service with satellite operators.
• Monitoring the status of communication services, taking actions according to procedures, and contributing to the generation of related reports.
• Generating operational procedures in coordination with the GOVSATCOM Hub system development team.
• Providing feedback on issues and improvements to the GOVSATCOM Hub system to enhance operational efficiency.
• Participating in training sessions as the system evolves.

Qualifications

• Telecommunications technician (Advanced Vocational Training in Telecommunications and Computer Systems or equivalent).
• Knowledge or experience with satellite communication equipment and related systems.
• Good level of spoken and written English.
• Used to work in a procedure‑driven environment.
• Availability to work in shifts: Operations will follow an 8×7 schedule.

Experience with systems with strict security requirements and knowledge of trends and advancements in satellite communication technology will be positively valued.
