Job summary

Marfeel is a publishing intelligence platform that helps publishers turn data into action. Our international team, headquartered in Barcelona, is growing as we build real-time dashboards and scalable services for millions of users.

We are looking for a Java Developer to join a small, high-ownership engineering team focusing on new product initiatives, while navigating existing codebases. You will use AI coding tools and own backend architecture decisions in an agile, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of Java and parallel code execution.
• Strong experience with Spring IoC, Spring MVC, Spring WebFlux, Spring Data, and R2DBC.
• Solid understanding of the web technology stack and building software that scales.
• Experience with OO principles, design patterns, and clean code practices.
• You understand reactive execution and non-blocking I/O at runtime.

Responsibilities

• Own backend features and services end to end: design, build, ship, run, and fix in production.
• Work on challenging developments involving high concurrency and millions of users.
• Use modern Java and Spring technologies, including WebFlux and microservices.
• Collaborate with product and data teams to ship reliable, high-performance services.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and improve runtimes with AI tooling.
