Join us as an IT Security Project Manager
At Extia, we are guided by the principle “First who, then what” (First the person, then the project). We strongly believe that a collaborative work environment focused on well-being is the key to achieving professional excellence. As the #1 Great Place To Work® in France (2024-25) and a benchmark in Europe for 7 consecutive years, we put people at the center of every initiative.
We are looking for a highly autonomous and proactive IT Security Project Manager to join a strategic global program for a leading international client in the insurance and financial sector.
In this role, you will play a key part in deploying a global cybersecurity program focused on replacing current Endpoint Protection (EPP) solutions with next-generation XDR/EDR security platforms (e.g., CrowdStrike, Microsoft Sentinel, Palo Alto Cortex).
Mission & Key Responsibilities
- Rollout & Project Management: Lead and coordinate the end-to-end operational deployment of XDR/EDR migration solutions across assigned international entities.
- Pilot Execution: Oversee the immediate execution of the current pilot phase, ensuring swift adaptability and immediate value delivery from Day 1.
- Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination: Drive alignment and daily operational collaboration between external vendors, technical/SOC teams, local entity leadership, and senior executive stakeholders (up to C-level / CISO).
- Risk & Requirement Management: Proactively identify project risks, structure and capture functional and security requirements, and anticipate bottlenecks to keep deployment on schedule.
- Reporting & PMO Governance: Maintain key project tracking assets, operational dashboards, and governance frameworks to report on project progress, risks, and KPIs to global stakeholders.
- PM / PMO Experience: 5–7+ years in Project Management / PMO roles, with a proven track record running complex, structured technology projects. (Note: Pure technical engineering profiles without strong PM/PMO ownership will not fit this role).
- Large Enterprise / Global Experience: Prior experience leading large-scale, multi-entity migrations in corporate environments of similar complexity.
- Cybersecurity & SOC Fundamentals: Solid understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, particularly regarding XDR, EDR, EPP solutions, and SOC operational dynamics / Incident Response processes.
- Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated ability to manage relationships with cross-functional teams, external vendors, and executive leadership (CISO, CIO, Risk Officers).
- Key Competencies: Highly autonomous, proactive, fast learner, with strong decision-making capabilities and structured risk management skills.
- Tools & Methodologies: Proficiency in Jira, Agile/Hybrid delivery frameworks, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and productivity/AI tools (e.g., Copilot).
- Languages: Fluent English is mandatory (C1/Native level – daily working language). French or Spanish is a strong plus.
- Certifications: PMP or PRINCE2 certification is strongly preferred.
- Prior experience in the global insurance or financial services sector.
- Cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, Security+).
True to our motto “First who, then what”, we put people first:
- Flexible work model: A hybrid format adapted to the project and your daily routine.
- Career development: Tailored training programs and professional growth pathways.
- Continuous guidance: Ongoing support through your Coach, Manager, and HR team.
- Comprehensive benefits package: Full health insurance (including coverage for physiotherapy and psychology) + Meal Vouchers + Transport Subsidy.
- Global ecosystem: Be part of a network of over 3,000 professionals across Europe and Canada.
- Great Place to Work culture: Transparency, proximity, and genuine support.
- Active community: Team buildings, social impact initiatives, meetups, and social events to connect outside of daily routine.
If you are motivated to lead global cybersecurity projects with high strategic impact, we want to meet you!
