Job summary

SITA is seeking a Project Officer to join the PMO for the Aircraft Projects. You will lead delivery of new products and services for Airlines, coordinating cross‑functional teams across engineering, operations, product and more in a fast‑paced, multi‑country environment.

We value goal‑oriented communicators with 4+ years of project management, experience in software development and AI initiatives, and the ability to manage complex budgets and timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with solid academic qualification preferably in a technical domain and/or with equivalent business experience.
• 4+ years of Project Mgt Experience with technical aptitude & hands-on experience. Agile & Hybrid methodologies.
• Experience with Software development and Artificial Intelligence initiatives.
• Track record in managing and delivering projects of varying complexities, budget, and deliverables. Risk management know-how is a must.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels in the organization i.e. in detail with technical staff, commercial, product, operations, and providers, and present summaries in front of executives and senior management.
• Self-motivated, team-oriented, positive can-do attitude can work autonomously and manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Advanced level English is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the project lifecycle - from scoping, planning, to delivery, to transition to operations and closure.
• Define resource requirements and coordinate large cross-functional teams with input from technical experts.
• Coordinate requirements, deadlines, budgets and schedules; remove blockers and impediments.
• Lead project governance, status reports, gates presentations, communications, risk mitigation and changes to scope/schedule/costs.
• Support program managers by managing sub-projects or key task elements and reporting progress.
• Manage project communications and stakeholders relationships.
• Foster a positive, customer-centric, growth-minded team culture.

ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM

As a Project Officer reporting to the Program Manager of SITA FOR AIRCRAFT Project Management Office (PMO), you will lead a variety of new products or services delivery projects to meet the needs of our Airlines customers. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast‑paced environment with all our internal cross‑functional team (engineering, Operations, Product, etc) located in 20+ countries (Canada, United‑States, France, Switzerland, Germany, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, Spain...).

Success in this role means you are a goal‑oriented individual, an excellent communicator and comfortable managing multiple tasks; you are a team player with high people skills and have a problem‑solving aptitude.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the project throughout its life cycle - from project scoping, planning, to delivery, to transition to operations, and finally project closure ensuring expected outcome to stakeholders and business.
• Understand and articulate internal requirements and recommend options (plan, delivery strategy, budget, schedule, risks, etc.) with the input of the required technical experts or contributors.
• Define resource requirements and coordinate large and diverse cross‑functional teams.
• Ensure project management collaterals (requirements, deadlines, budgets and schedules) are on track. Anticipate and remove blockers and impediments.
• Lead the project governance (status report, gates presentations, communications, risk mitigation process) and manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs as per the existing PMO governance.
• There will be times when you will be assigned to assist a program or project manager by managing sub‑projects or key task elements. With each assignment, you report regularly on the progress and manage each assignment through its completion.
• Manage project communication and stakeholders’ relationship.
• Foster a positive culture in your team: customer centric, a growth and “do it together” mindset.

EXPERIENCE
