Bystronic seeks an IT Manager to lead critical IT operations, strategy, and governance. You will define the technology roadmap, drive digital transformation, and manage hybrid infrastructure across cloud and on-premise environments.

You will coordinate with Group IT in Switzerland, ensure ISO 27001 and GDPR compliance, and oversee security initiatives while guiding IT projects with international vendors. The role requires strategic thinking, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to work

Formación

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
• Advanced level of English (spoken and written).
• Proven experience in designing cloud and hybrid architectures and governance of complex infrastructures.
• Solid knowledge of cybersecurity and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, GDPR, NIS2).
• Strong negotiation, influencing, and communication skills with stakeholders.
• Experience in IT project management and working with international vendors.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to Bystronic Group headquarters in Switzerland.

In a nutshell

We are looking for an IT Manager to join our team and lead critical IT operations, ensuring system performance, security, compliance, and the timely delivery of technology solutions.

What you will be doing:

IT Strategy & Innovation

Define and execute the technology roadmap aligned with business objectives and Group standards. Identify opportunities for digital transformation, automation, and process improvement. Manage IT budget and investment business cases, and participate in international Group committees.

Architecture & Infrastructure

Design and evolve scalable, secure IT architectures across hybrid cloud, on-premise, and SaaS environments. Define infrastructure standards and lead cloud adoption (Azure), ensuring integration with corporate platforms. Oversee Business Continuity, backup, and disaster recovery strategies

Group Integration (Bystronic HQ)

Act as the main IT liaison between local operations and Group IT in Switzerland. Ensure compliance with corporate security frameworks (ISO 27001, GDPR, etc.). Lead integration of enterprise systems (ERP, IAM, collaboration tools) and coordinate audits and global transformation initiatives.

IT Operations & Service Delivery

Oversee IT operations including Windows, Linux, Microsoft 365, virtualization, and DevOps support environments. Manage vendors, SLAs, and escalated incidents, ensuring system reliability, data integrity, and operational continuity.

Cybersecurity & Governance

Define and implement cybersecurity strategies, including identity management, access control, and incident response. Maintain risk and asset governance frameworks, ensure ISO 27001 compliance, and promote security awareness across the organization..

What you need to succeed:

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field (e.g., Mathematics, Physics).
• Advanced level of English (spoken and written), essential for communication and negotiation with Bystronic Group.
• Proven experience in designing cloud and hybrid architectures, as well as governance of complex infrastructures.
• Solid knowledge of cybersecurity and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, GDPR, NIS2).
• Strong negotiation, influencing, and communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience in IT project management and working with international vendors.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to Bystronic Group headquarters in Switzerland.
• Strategic mindset with a results-oriented approach and the ability to work autonomously
