Inetum2 in Madrid seeks a dynamic IT & AI Commercial Legal Counsel to support its Legal Team in Spain. You will negotiate and review IT & AI contracts for private and public sector clients, ensuring compliance with local laws and internal policies.

The role focuses on end-to-end deal support in Spain, with emphasis on IP, AI, IT and data protection law, and requires fluency in Spanish and strong business English.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified Spanish Lawyer with 5–10 years PQE.

Responsabilités

• Negotiate and review IT & AI business contracts for private and public sector.
• Provide end-to-end legal support for assigned Spain deals with IP, AI, IT and data protection focus.
• Review and negotiate IT & AI contracts aligned with business and legal needs.
• Handle contracting with customers and providers, including claims, ensuring policy compliance.
• Offer specialized AI and data protection guidance, focusing on EU AI Act and GDPR.

We are looking for a dynamic, proactive and talented IT & AI Commercial Legal Counsel to join our Legal Team in Madrid and provide legal support to our IT & AI business teams in Spain Region. Our new colleague will join a talented, innovative and diverse team of Legal Counsels and Contract Managers in Madrid. The role will offer room to grow. Key responsibilities:

• You will be mainly responsible for the negotiation and review of IT & AI business contracts for Private and Public Sector space, both for existing accounts but also new opportunities and deals.
• Have end-to-end legal support responsibility for a set of assigned deals in Spain with special focus on IP, AI, IT and Data Protection Law.
• Support the review and negotiations of a wide range of IT & AI Contracts considering business and legal requirements.
• Realize all legal aspects of contracting with the customers and with the providers, including claims, ensuring compliance with relevant local legislation and company's codes and policies,
• Provide specialized legal advice on Artificial Intelligence and data protection, with a particular focus on the EU AI Act and GDPR, supporting both the design and implementation of the AI legal governance and compliance framework and the business teams in the development, procurement and use of AI solutions.
• Articulate clearly legal advice in a pragmatic manner to all stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Fully qualified Spanish Lawyer, in the range of around 5-10 years of PQE.
• Interest in the field of IT Outsourcing, Digital, Intellectual Property, software licensing and Artificial Intelligence and Data Protection law.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in order to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel within the company, clients, and vendors.
• Good time-management skills and the ability to effectively prioritize work activities to accomplish assigned duties under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Thrives at being part of a team and working cross-functionally.
• Ability to perform in a self-sufficient manner with minimal secretarial and administrative support.
• Native or business-level Spanish language skills are a must-have, fluent business English is essential as well.
