Job summary

Allianz Technology seeks an International Finance BI and Data Architecture Lead to drive transformation of finance reporting across the group. You will lead a cross‑functional team empowering governance, scalable analytics, and global KPI definitions using Power BI, Azure, SAP, SAC, and AI.

You will partner with FP&A, CoE, and regional finance to build standardized BI workspaces, secure data pipelines, and compliant analytics, while guiding change management and adoption across multiple

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading cross‑functional data/BI teams across data engineering, BI, product ownership, and change management.
• Strong knowledge of Power BI Desktop & Service, semantic models, DAX, RLS/OLS, deployment pipelines, plus Power Automate and Power Apps.
• Solid understanding of data lake and cloud platforms (ADLS Gen2, Delta Lake, Azure) and SAP BW/ERP/S4HANA extraction for finance domains.
• Awareness of AI/ML applications in finance and ability to evaluate use cases for value, feasibility, governance, and EU AI Act compliance.
• 3+ years in finance transformation or digitalization with Agile delivery experience (Scrum/Kanban); Scrum Master is a plus.

About The Job

We are looking for an International Finance BI and Data Architecture Lead to drive the transformation, harmonization, and globalization of finance reporting standards across Allianz Technology Group. You will lead a cross-functional team and build a scalable, governed analytics ecosystem powered by Power BI, Azure Data Lakes, SAP, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and AI. You will act as the local go-to authority for data and analytics, and as the global bridge between the BI & Reporting Centre of Excellence, Regional and Commercial Finance, Branches, and Subsidiaries.

What You Do

• Build, manage, and grow a cross-functional team spanning data engineering, product ownership, business analysis, and change management, developing talent and sustainable delivery capacity
• Lead the harmonization of finance reporting across entities, partnering with the BI & Reporting Centre of Excellence and FP&A to define global "golden KPIs," certified semantic models, and standardized BI workspaces with governed deployment pipelines
• Oversee the finance data layer design (Azure SQL, Databricks Lakehouse/ADLS Gen2, or hybrid) and coordinate SAP extraction pipelines, embedding security and governance by design (RLS/OLS, GDPR compliance)
• Act as AI Ambassador: identify and pilot AI/ML use cases in international finance (predictive analytics, anomaly detection, forecasting), ensuring full compliance with the EU AI Act
• Drive adoption of Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) and SAP Analytics Cloud to extend reporting into planning, budgeting, and predictive scenarios
• Lead end-to-end BI transformation projects, managing scope, timelines, budgets, and cross-functional teams across finance, data engineering, BI, and IT in multiple countries
• Design and execute change management strategies to drive adoption of new platforms and self-service analytics, presenting status and decision papers to senior management and CFO Transformation Leadership

What You Bring

• Proven experience hiring, building, and managing cross-functional teams across data engineering, BI, product ownership, and change management
• Strong knowledge of Power BI Desktop & Service (semantic models, DAX, Power Query, RLS/OLS, deployment pipelines), plus Power Automate and Power Apps
• Solid understanding of data lake and cloud platforms (ADLS Gen2, Delta Lake, medallion architecture, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Azure SQL)
• Experience with SAP BW/ERP/S4HANA extraction and finance domains (general ledger, consolidation, controlling, planning, regulatory reporting)
• Awareness of AI/ML applications in finance and the ability to evaluate use cases for value, feasibility, governance, and EU AI Act compliance
• 3+ years in finance transformation or digitalization, with Agile delivery experience (Scrum/Kanban); Scrum Master experience is a plus
• Degree in Finance, Business, Data Science, or Computer Science. English C1
• Basic knowledge of AI technologies, principles, and their practical use
