Alan is hiring an Insurance Expert in Spain to join our team and help shape how we deliver health insurance across our markets. You will monitor business risks, translate complex insurance and data questions for stakeholders, and collaborate with global teams to refine pricing and repricing strategies.

You will analyze portfolio profitability, improve margin tracking, and contribute to scaling processes and systems across countries.

Formación

• 6+ years of experience in health insurance.
• Fluent in English.
• Knowledge of pricing/repricing trends and market practices.
• Quantitative background (statistics, actuarial sciences) with insurance product and business experience.
• Ability to navigate and synthesize technical, data, business and legal questions related to insurance.
• Builder mindset; able to scale and optimize processes and systems.

We work hand in hand with our data scientists, designers, engineers and product managers to build the most differentiating products and provide a delightful experience at a fair price. We build and manage offers for large companies and public institutions with our sales and account management teams. We make sure our portfolio is closely monitored and risks are effectively managed. We also manage our capital, steer our reinsurance strategy and maintain a trusting relationship with our insurance regulators. The Insurance Expert role in Spain The role of an Insurance Expert at Alan is to: Monitor the business and the risks, Help the rest of the team understand the subtleties of healthcare and insurance. Being An Insurance Expert At Alan In Spain Means Being part of a small and talented team currently working on delivering the best experience to our members Recent missions include: Defining the pricing and re-pricing strategy of the different products Improving margin monitoring Collaborating with the Key Account Managers team to make sure they are equipped with the right tools to deliver the best experience to their customers Analyzing the profitability of the portfolio and suggesting action points Being part of an insurance community at the global level, with an impact on our organization, hiring and training across multiple countries. Is it you we’re looking for? You may be a great fit for the role if: You have at least 6+ years of experience in health insurance You are fluent in English Knowledge of the trends from the sector, of the pricing/repricing business decisions and market practices You combine a quantitative background (statistics, actuarial sciences) with an experience in insurance products and business You are able to navigate and synthesize technical, data, business and legal questions related to insurance You have a builder mindset, continuously identifying opportunities to scale and optimize processes and systems You are willing to deeply change the insurance and healthcare industry and challenge the status quo It would be even better if: You are fluent in Spanish or willing to learn Spanish You have experience coordinating with teams based in another country You have connections and a deep understanding of the Spanish health insurance market Location: You must be legally eligible to work from Spain Remote work: We offer remote work flexibility yet would ideally hire around our Spanish hubs (Madrid, Barcelona) Important note: we hire people, not roles.
