Job summary

Edwards Lifesciences seeks an experienced instructional designer to design and develop complex training programs for global learners. You will partner with internal stakeholders to define outcomes, select delivery methods, and measure learning impact across diverse teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Education/ID, 6 years of adult learning experience, and fluency in English and Spanish. Proficiency with MS Office, LMS tools, and presentation skills is expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of complex instructional activities using various media
• Partner with stakeholders to define end-to-end training strategies and success metrics
• Develop criteria to evaluate training effectiveness and align with outcomes
• Conduct job, task, and performance analysis to set learning objectives
• Engage learners and stakeholders to test instructional design concepts and validation
• Provide coaching on instructional design processes and deliverables
• Oversee contractors/vendors to develop or translate training programs
• Adhere to leadership direction and organizational policies

How You Will Make an Impact:

• Lead, design, and develop complex technical and non-technical instructional activities using various media and related training materials and tools to achieve learning objectives
• Responsible for partnering and consulting with internal stakeholders to develop end-to-end training strategies. Gains agreement with key stakeholders on training program outcomes and success metrics.
• Develop criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. Aligns measurement and evaluation approaches to defined training program outcomes
• Conduct complex job, task, and performance analysis to develop training objectives
• Engage and interact with learners and key stakeholders to test and validate instructional design and development
• Provide business unit/client focused coaching and consulting on the instructional design process, deliverables, and expected outcomes.
• Use evaluation results to improve training program design and execution; shares best practices and lessons learned resulting from evaluation data
• May evaluate and/or oversee contractors or vendors to develop, translate and/or administer training programs.
• Other incidental duties assigned by Leadership

What You Will Need (Required):

• Bachelor's Degree in Education, Instructional Design or related field
• 6 years previous related adult learning experience, including designing courses and utilizing various training delivery methods (e.g., ILT, CBT, Web-based, Virtual Class, Performance Support Tools)
• Fluent in English & Spanish

• Proven expertise in usage of MS Office Suite, LMS, and training tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate)
