Core Laboratories is seeking an Inspector I to perform basic inspection tasks across terminals and refineries, including offshore assignments. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and cost-conscious operation, with adherence to API, Fosfa, Gafta, and Saybolt procedures.

Applicants should have a high school diploma and at least one year of related experience, plus strong local language and English communication skills. Occasional travel to different sites is expected.

Formación

Responsabilidades

  • Assist other inspectors from the department and Account Managers in responsibilities.
  • Ensure efficient work at the location to meet client needs on time.
  • May work at different locations and on offshore operations as requested.
  • Handle port-related duties and standby services within ordinary working hours.
  • Aim to run operations at the lowest possible costs while meeting safety and quality standards.
  • Follow all Saybolt/Core Laboratories procedures and policies.
  • Reports directly to Inspection Account Managers.

Summary

The Inspector I performs basic inspection work in petroleum, petrochemical, gas, grain, oils and fats terminals and refineries; also performs inspection work on board barges and ships following industry standards and the procedures published by API, Fosfa, Gafta and Saybolt.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • The Inspector I shall assist other inspectors from the department and Account Managers in responsibility duties of the location.
  • Inspectors I, are responsible for the efficient work within the location, so that can meet client needs accurately and in time.
  • Inspectors I, may work at different locations and on offshore operations as requested by the company.
  • The functions to be developed by the Inspectors, are mainly included within the port activity and sometimes offshore on high seas, so that the development and fulfillment of the functions of the description of each Job, including the specific service of standby, constitute a function of the job and are carried out within the ordinary working day, as long as they are carried out as effective working time.
  • Is responsible for and takes care of running the operation at the lowest possible costs, while meeting the requirements for safety, quality of service and maintenance of assets. Inspector I must ensure full cooperation with his department and his Managers on all assignments.
  • Must follow all company procedures as established by Saybolt and Core Laboratories, including but not limited to HSE Manual, Accounting Policies & Procedures, Saybolt Administration Instruction Letter, IT procedures, Ethics Policy, Saybolt Compliance Code, etc. Must keep himself updated and aware of all updates and act accordingly.
  • Inspectors I, reports directly to Inspection Account Managers.
Qualifications
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • A high school diploma or equivalent (general education degree).
  • 1 year as an Inspector or related experience.
  • Good verbal and written knowledge of local language and English.
  • Proficient user of MS Office.
Knowledge, Skills & Attributes
  • All kind of possible samplings & measurements.
  • Capable to perform any kind of Inspection vessel and shore with a supervision of a higher level Inspector or Account Manager.
Other Information

Certificates, licenses and registrations:

  • Inspectors must have a vehicle in good, safe operating condition that can be used on the job for both personal and sample transportation in all ambient weather conditions. Vehicles used for sample transportation must be able to accommodate the secondary sample containers issued for sample transportation.
  • Inspectors are required to maintain the proper levels of automobile liability insurance and meet all state requirements on vehicles used for Saybolt assignments.
  • Inspectors must also maintain a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Local travel and occasional out-of-town assignments are required.
