PLD Space in Elche, Spain, is seeking a Welding Engineer to join the Manufacturing Engineering team. You will ensure welding process quality and compliance with aerospace standards, integrating documentation, testing, and process improvement.

The role requires a degree in Industrial Engineering, strong knowledge of welding, and fluency in Spanish. You will read drawings, manage welding work, and contribute to high‑quality manufacturing within a growing space company.

Qualifications

• Degree in Industrial Engineering or similar with high knowledge in welding processes.
• Excellent computer skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding specifications.
• Knowledge of quality control processes, material traceability, and manufacturing documentation.
• High level of Spanish.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and implement technical documentation (WPS, WPQR, etc.).
• Guarantee and improve welding process quality by ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
• Interpret non-destructive and destructive tests per applicable regulations.
• Manage welding work to meet aerospace-grade quality standards.
• Coordinate and plan welding activities.

Mission

As aWelding Engineer, your main mission within the area will be within the Manufacturing engineering department to guarantee the quality of welding processes ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and implementation of technical documentation (WPS, WPQR...).
• Guarantee and improve the quality of welding processes by ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
• Ability to manage and interpret non-destructive and destructive tests following the applicable regulations in each case.
• Manage and evaluate welding work subject to high quality standards (aeronautical or aerospace).
• Coordinate and plan the welding work.

Necessary Requirements

• Degree in Industrial Engineering or similar with high knowledge in welding processes.
• Essential computer skills spanning the MS Office suite of applications, i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding specifications.
• Knowledge of quality control processes, material traceability, and manufacturing documentation.
• High level of spanish

Desired Requirements

• It is valuable to have the title of European Adhesives Engineer (EAE) or European Adhesives Specialist (EAS)
• Materials and metallurgy knowledge
• Experience making NDI
• Experience with thermal treatment like PWHT, annealing, distended.
