Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience with process simulation software and P&ID development.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the design, development, and optimization of petrochemical processes, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with environmental regulations.
• Conduct process simulations, feasibility studies, and economic analyses for new projects and plant modifications.
• Provide technical expertise and leadership in troubleshooting operational issues, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and other essential engineering documentation.
• Collaborate closely with project management, operations, maintenance, and safety teams to ensure successful project execution and plant operations.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering their technical growth and professional development.
• Stay updated with the latest technological advancements and industry best practices in petrochemical engineering.
• Participate in Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) such as HAZOP studies to ensure process safety.
• Prepare technical reports, recommendations, and presentations for management and stakeholders.
• Ensure all designs and operational procedures adhere to company standards and regulatory requirements in Spain.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in the petrochemical or oil and gas industry, with a strong focus on process engineering.
