Job summary

CONVOTIS Iberia is seeking a senior monitoring engineer in Spain to operate, maintain and develop our monitoring stack based on Zabbix, Prometheus and Grafana, including time series databases. You design alerting, document networks, and work independently with a strong documentation mindset.

The role requires 5+ years of relevant experience, solid Linux/Windows skills, networking know-how, and fluency in English and Spanish.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience, not counting education programs or internships.
• Hands-on knowledge of Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana and time series databases such as InfluxDB.
• Solid networking skills and in-depth knowledge of IPv4 and IPv6.
• Experience with notification mechanisms and escalation processes.
• A solid foundation in Linux, Windows and databases.
• A structured, independent way of working and a strong documentation mindset.
• Real hands-on expertise: we value proven practical skills over product-specific certifications.
• Fluent English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure and optimize notification mechanisms and escalation paths so that the right people are alerted at the right time
• Design and document network environments for customer and internal projects. In line with our standards, everything is documented before implementation
• You work independently and in a structured way, and you actively suggest improvements to configurations and technical details
• You share your knowledge by training and onboarding new colleagues
• You are part of our shift roster, including nights, weekends and public holidays
• You support colleagues beyond your core role, whether to broaden your own expertise or to help the team
