Job summary

AIG Europe S.A. (Spain branch) is seeking an Operations Underwriting Support professional to assist underwriters across Property, Casualty, Energy, Marine, Aviation, Financial Lines, and more.

You will help summarize terms, calculate premiums, and ensure accurate entry of submissions, risks, endorsements, and transactions. You will maintain underwriting data quality, support peer reviews, regulatory reporting, and post-bind monitoring.

Qualifications

• Strong relevant experience in an underwriting support role.
• Ability to deal with external stakeholders.
• Knowledge of underwriting, claims, and facultative reinsurance processes.
• Experience supervising the accuracy of an offshore service partner.

Responsibilities

• Summarise slip terms and conditions, calculate premiums and exposures, and ensure accurate entry of submissions, quotes, risks, endorsements, and transactions to the Company.
• Perform data checks to ensure accuracy of underwriting data and ensure they are accurately entered within our systems.
• Store risk information and correspondence onto the document repository to ensure a complete audit trail of all substantive business activity.
• Ensure underwriting information is included for peer review, risk entry, and data checking review within the designated timeframe.
• Index and update electronic submissions; maintain tools for compliance sanctions, fraud, and financial crime checks pre-bind and post-bind.
• Assist underwriters during underwriting, production of management information, business development, and marketing; provide admin support to the Operations team.
