Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, seeks a Senior Accountant - Technical Accounting based in Spain. The role offers exposure to IFRS accounting and reporting across international markets.

You will own technical accounting research, contract assessments, memos, and key reporting activities, while working closely with Finance leadership, Legal, Tax, and FP&A teams in a multinational environment.

Formación

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and ability to research, interpret, and apply standards.
• Experience assessing contracts for accounting implications, particularly revenue recognition and lease accounting.
• Strong technical writing skills for memos, position papers, or audit support documentation.
• Hands-on experience with month-end close, trial balance reviews, and consolidation entries.
• Attention to detail with professional judgment and ability to assess complex matters.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Clear communication across Finance and non-Finance functions.
• Public accounting or audit experience is valued; CPA/ACCA preferred but not required.
• Experience in multinational group reporting is a plus.
• Ability to operate effectively in an international, cross-functional environment.

Responsabilidades

• Review contracts to determine accounting implications under IFRS 15 and IFRS 16.
• Research IFRS guidance and prepare technical memos and position papers.
• Support month-end close with trial balance reviews and account analysis.
• Prepare consolidation entries, including intercompany eliminations.
• Coordinate with external auditors during year-end processes.
• Prepare audit support materials and respond to auditor questions.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Tax, FP&A and business teams to assess transactions.
• Support technical accounting and broader finance projects as required.
• Maintain and update accounting policies in line with new standards.
• Develop training materials to help finance and non-finance stakeholders understand accounting requirements.
• Contribute to consistent, well-documented accounting practices.
