An international consulting firm is seeking an Iberia Tax Manager in Madrid. The successful candidate will manage tax compliance and advisory responsibilities for the Spain and Portugal regions, overseeing a tax team while ensuring timely support to business operations. Applicants should have 5-7 years of experience in a multinational environment and a degree in Economics. This role offers a full-time position in a dynamic setting.

Formación

• 5-7 years experience as Tax Advisor in Big4 or multinational company.
• Experience in international taxation is a plus.
• Working knowledge of IFRS is nice to have.

Responsabilidades

• Manage Spain and coordinate Portugal on tax aspects.
• Prepare corporate tax calculations and accounting.
• Ensure timely preparation of tax provisions under IFRS and local GAAP.
• Manage relationship with external tax advisors.

Overview

The Iberia Tax Manager will be part of the Finance Iberia team and member of the Global Tax Community supporting the organization in tax compliance and as well as tax advisory business support.

Iberia region comprises Spain and Portugal, countries that have seen a significant growth in business combined with the increase in complexity which proofs the need for a dedicated resource.

The successful candidate will be a coalified tax specialist with several years' experience as a specialist tax advisor or member of tax team in a multinational environment.

Responsibilities

• The candidate will manage Spain and coordinate Portugal on the following aspects
• Management of tax team
• Manage the relationship with external advisors
• Ensure timely and appropriate support to business on tax aspects (VAT, permanent establishment, WHH ……………etc)
• Preparation of corporate tax calculations and accounting
• Ensure timely preparation of tax provisions under IFRS and local GAAP
• Liaison with the Group Tax and Group Consolidations teams.
• Supervision of periodic tax obligations (VAT, IRPF, non resident…. etc).
• SII management and coordination.
• Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations for tax related accounts
• Ensuring Transfer Pricing documentation is up to date. Preparation of key information for the update of the Local file of Transfer Pricing. Elaboration and preparation of Forms 231 and 232
• Enhance the connection and relationship with business to become a trusted advisor, someone to go to

Professional experience & skills

• Degree in Economics
• 5-7 years experience as Tax Advisor in Big4 or multinational company
• Experience in international taxation is a plus
• Working knowledge of IFRS – nice to have
