Job summary

AkzoNobel is seeking a Logistics Manager for Iberia & France based in Barcelona. You will provide end-to-end logistics leadership for warehousing and transport across Spain, Portugal and France, coordinating five external warehouses and driving cost, quality and HSE targets.

The role requires 5–10 years of logistics leadership, strong collaboration with cross-functional teams, and a track record in transport, warehousing and distribution networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering.
• Master’s degree (optional but valued).
• 5–10 years of logistics/supply chain experience managing teams.
• Experience managing large-scale operations and teams.
• Background in transport, warehousing, and distribution networks.
• Good verbal and written Spanish, English, French with analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to influence and motivate.
• Strong service- and solution-minded approach with ability to negotiate and manage stakeholders.
• Flexibility, resilience and structured way of working.
• Advanced knowledge of logistics systems (SAP, WMS, TMS).
• Financial and cost management.
• Willingness to travel 20–30%.

Responsibilities

• Lead Logistics Warehousing & Distribution for Deco and Coatings in Spain, Portugal & France, managing 5 external warehouses with EDI complexity.
• Ensure all business logistics requirements are understood, documented and met (Operating manuals, legislation, regulations & HSE requirements).
• Guarantee Logistics Service Level agreed for Deco and Coatings in Spain, Portugal & France.
• Responsible for the management of the logistics budget (cost, service, quality and HSE).
• Local Contract manager for all 3rd party logistics services covering warehousing and transport, including invoice approval.
• Supervise personnel, including development of objectives and necessary training; review performance; and salary actions.
• Lead local implementation of Logistics projects (Transport & Warehousing footprint as an example).

Logistics Manager Iberia & France

We are looking for a Logistics Manager Iberia & France based in Barcelona.

The main objective of the role is to provide end to end responsibility for all Logistics (warehousing and transport) allowing maximum operational flexibility in line with customer service, quality, HSE and cost targets for a specific country.

About The Job

• Lead Logistics Warehousing & Distribution for Deco and Coatings in Spain, Portugal & France, managing 5 external warehouses with EDI complexity.
• Ensure all business logistics requirements are understood, documented and met (including Operating manuals, legislation, regulations & HSE requirements)
• Guarantee Logistics Service Level agreed for Deco and Coatings in Spain, Portugal & France.
• Responsible for the management of the logistics budget (cost, service, quality and HSE). Logistics cost gaps are covered by action plans led by this function and/or mitigation actions under ANT cards.
• Local Contract manager for all 3rd party logistics services covering the provisions of warehousing and transport, including invoice approval. Logistics Responsibility in 5 external warehouses and 5 production sites in Spain, Portugal & France.
• Supervise personnel, including the development of objectives and necessary training; review performance; and recommend salary adjustments, promotions, transfers, hiring and/or disciplinary actions
• Lead local implementation of Logistics projects (Transport & Warehousing footprint as an example)

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering. Master’s degree (optional but valued).
• Demonstrated experience for 5-10 years in logistics/supply chain managing teams.
• Experience managing large-scale operations and teams
• Background in transport, warehousing, and distribution networks
• Good verbal and written Spanish, English, French language skills with Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to influence and motivate
• Strong service- and solution mindset with ability to Negotiate and manage stakeholders.
• Flexibility, resilience and structured way of working
• Advance Knowledge of logistics systems (SAP, WMS, TMS)
• Financial and cost management
• Availability to travel (20-30%)
