SEK Catalunya International School in Spain is seeking a Design Technology and Mathematics Teacher to cover a paternity leave, with an expected start date in mid-September 2026. The initial cover is approximately 6 weeks, with an additional period from mid-January 2027 to April 2027.

The role supports Diploma Programme teaching and IB guidelines, with responsibilities including planning, assessment, and curriculum development.

Formación

• Bachelor’s Degree in Design Technology or related field
• Master’s Degree in Teacher Training for Secondary Education or equivalent
• Previous teaching experience in Mathematics and/or Design Technology
• English and Spanish at native or native-equivalent level
• Ability to plan effective lessons and adapt to learning needs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to motivate students and maintain engagement
• Ability to work in an inclusive, collaborative learning environment

Responsabilidades

• Develop and implement teaching plans for Design Technology and Mathematics
• Attend department meetings and collaborate on planning
• Provide individualised support and constructive feedback to students
• Mentor students in Extended Essays and Internal Assessments
• Participate in standardisation of assessment tasks
• Contribute to curriculum research and improvement
• Keep up to date with IB programme guides
• Communicate with families about student progress
