Job summary

CAE is seeking a Software Developer to build real-time simulation software used in military aircraft system integration laboratories. You will develop object-oriented components in C++ to reproduce aircraft behaviour in real time and simulate avionics signals, while participating in all software lifecycle phases.

Join a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with software, systems, and avionics groups. A hybrid work setup is available with on-site presence at Mirabel and occasional Saint-Laurent

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science.
• Up to three years of software development experience.
• Knowledge of C++ and C#.
• Ability to learn aircraft systems, simulation models, and new technical concepts quickly.
• Ability to work autonomously and adapt to changing requirements across multiple models.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to communicate technically in English or French.
• Eligibility to obtain Government of Canada Reliability Status and Level II Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop object-oriented software components in C++ to reproduce aircraft behaviour in real time.
• Simulate digital and analog signals of avionics systems.
• Participate in all phases of software development from analysis to integration.
• Support the software’s user community.
• Work with multiple simulation models and adapt to different systems.
