Job summary

T-Systems Iberia is seeking a DevOps/Platform Engineer to own operations, monitoring, deployments, and security for critical IT platforms across multiple sites in Spain. You will coordinate with the vendor HCL, manage on-call incidents, and drive system enhancements, interface integrations, and cost controls.

You will lead project efforts, work with labs and production teams, and ensure SLAs are met while applying ITIL change and incident practices, with a hybrid work model and ongoing

Qualifications

• Hands-on expertise with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
• Strong knowledge of Linux systems.
• Strong knowledge of Windows systems.
• Proficiency in API management.
• Experience with deployment automation tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
• Mastery of monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
• Knowledge of security practices including IAM and vulnerability scanning.
• Strong communication skills to gather business requirements and translate them into technical plans.
• Experience running projects using Agile or Scrum methodologies.
• Experience coordinating internal teams and external IT service providers.
• Experience with hosting and development partners.
• Experience ensuring SLAs are met.
• Understanding of ITIL principles including change management and incident management.
• Knowledge of cloud cost-optimization techniques.
• Experience with IT budgeting and forecasting.
• Expertise in TCP/IP networking.
• Experience with system tracing and root cause analysis.
• Experience with Linux-based environments.
• Experience with operations and monitoring (e.g., using Zabbix).
• Experience with documentation and deployments.
• Experience with troubleshooting of platforms and related services.
• Ability to collaborate closely with stakeholders across laboratory and production environments.
• Ability to participate in on-call support and incident response activities.

Responsibilities

• Perform operations, monitoring, documentation, deployments, and troubleshooting of the platform and related services
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders and teams across laboratory and production environments to ensure seamless operational readiness
• Coordinate technical activities and service delivery with the external vendor HCL
• Participate in on-call support and incident response activities
• Manage designated IT applications and systems as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders and key users
• Gather, define, and implement requirements for the enhancement of system modules, including interface integration and optimization
• Analyze systems and develop measures to ensure stability, availability, performance, and security
• Provide functional leadership and coordination of internal and external IT service providers, including development and hosting partners
• Contribute to IT budget planning, forecasting, and cost control activities
• Lead projects for the implementation of new solutions and the enhancement of existing systems and services
