Job summary

Allianz Technology is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to act as the technical core of a squad bringing AI into real business processes for Allianz Operating Entities. You will translate problems into production AI solutions by reusing MVS/AI Building Blocks or creating custom components, partnering with the AI Engagement Manager and local/global IT teams.

You will ship end-to-end solutions across backend, frontend, data/ML, and ops, ensuring security, compliance, and reliability.

Qualifications

• Hands-on software engineer with a track record of shipping production code across a big stack (backend, frontend, data, and ops).
• Comfortable operating in unfamiliar codebases, domains, and partner environments; identifying issues and delivering value.
• Practical experience with cloud-native stacks and DevOps (CI/CD, containers, Kubernetes), testing/observability, and secure coding in regulated settings.
• Knowledge of modern data/AI stack (Python, APIs, vector databases) and integrating LLM/agent frameworks; prompt-first mindset.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills; works with AI Engagement Manager and documents thoroughly.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent professional experience
• Fluency in English
• Familiarity with AI technologies and GenAI platforms is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Integrate with local and global domain experts to translate problems into production AI solutions.
• Reuse and extend MVS/AI Building Blocks to design and implement custom services and integrations.
• Ship solutions across backend, frontend, data/ML, and ops stacks from development to production.
• Ensure security, compliance, and reliability; set up CI/CD, containerization, and IaaC as needed.
• Document, operationalize, and scale by contributing new patterns to central building-block catalogue.
