Amentum is seeking a HVAC / Refrigeration Mechanic to support a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role leads installation, maintenance, modification, overhaul, service, and repair of air conditioning and refrigeration systems to meet blueprints and manufacturer specs.

Candidates must have 1-3 years HVAC experience, a high school diploma, and relevant certifications (EPA 608). The position requires English proficiency, ability to obtain visas, and readiness for remote overseas deployment;

Formación

• English proficiency to perform contract requirements and follow procedures.
• Passport valid for at least one year at time of hiring.
• Ability to obtain country-specific visas as required for deployment.
• Ability to pass medical and deployment requirements.
• 1-3 years of relevant HVAC experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Trade certification in heating and air conditioning; EPA 608 Type 1/2/3 as required.
• Host country certification in Freon Recovery/Recycling for FN role.

Responsabilidades

• Lead HVAC crew in installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning and refrigeration systems per blueprints, specs, and instructions.
• Coordinate schedules to ensure proper staffing and workflow.
• Track progress, analyze trends, and report issues with recommended improvements.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs for HVAC systems.
• Train personnel on maintenance procedures to ensure quality performance.
• Fabricate and install ductwork and chassis parts using metalworking tools and welding equipment.
